The safety and efficacy of Ventolin HFA in pregnancy has not been established. As there is not enough data from pregnant people it is not known if Ventolin HFA is effective in pregnancy. There is not enough research to provide a firm concrete answer on how long it will take to work in people with asthma.
The safety and efficacy of Ventolin HFA during breastfeeding has not been established in people who are or may become pregnant (see safety and effectiveness).
The common side effects seen with Ventolin HFA are difficulty breathing, wheezing, and coughing.
